Sales Manager (DW3128)




West Midlands

The Role:

  • Managing a team of Aero Sales Engineers and Application Engineers 
  • Responsibility of annual Aerospace Sales Plan definition (with UK Sales Dir.) and achievement
  • Customer support of specific list of existing Key Accounts and acquisition of new customers in the Aerospace industry
  • Enhancement of customer relations
  • Business Development in own sales area
  • Sales Areas defined: A, B, C, D, as a starting project (see annex PPT)
  • Define (with UK Sales Dir.)  and achieve profitable growth % per FY
  • Realization of KMT sales processes & application of the Tools (CRM, NOVO)
  • Leadership in the respective area of responsibility
  • Organizational Development, Succession & Talent Management, Performance Management
  • Cooperation with Global Key Account, Engineering, Marketing, Corporate Functions and Production Plants.
  • Preparation of market analyses and detailed consideration of the KPIs as well as establishment of resulting measures



  • Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable degree in engineering with commercial background.
  • Alternatively, degree in economics/ business administration, strong technical affinity and experience in sales of advanced technical products possibly in the Aerospace industry.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales of technical products in industrial environment, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Tools, Tooling Industries.
  • Experience in working with Direct Sales, Distribution, End customers and Integrators
  • Experience in working with Aerospace customers (5 years min.)
  • Strong commercial profile
  • Leadership Experience
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Proficiency in Change Management / structuring of Sales processes and organizations
  • Marketing skills
  • Preparation of analysis, customer strategies, action plans, follow-up
