The Company: World leading manufacturer of engineering cutting tools
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities.
You will possess a sophisticated level of technical expertise that demonstrates why they are an acknowledged leader in the industry. This will require use of technical expertise with distribution, direct accounts or a combination of both.
Identify new sales opportunities and execute the sales strategy for the assigned geographical area.
Assess and evaluate direct and indirect customer needs to help develop the appropriate plan to meet and exceed targets.
Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with distributors and end users to develop and grow partnerships.
Negotiate contracts, programs and other agreements with customers.
Keep customers well informed of new technology developments and product innovations.
Regularly review market changes and dynamics to ensure opportunities are being pursued in-line with the company’s strategy.
Support and participate in team sales initiatives by sharing pertinent information for assigned accounts.
Work closely with application engineering to help determine the best technical solution for the customer’s requirements.
Prepare regular progress, status and forecast reports to management on the assigned area of responsibility.
Participate in Road Shows, Open Days and Trade Fairs.
A recognised qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or time served apprenticeship.
Experience within the metal cutting or precision tooling industry.
Good understanding of contracts and previous experience leading commercial negotiations.
An In-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry and concepts associated with company Products.
An innovative and self-motivated salesperson whom is able to work independently with little supervision.
Proficiency with MS Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
