Sales Engineer/ Business Development (LE3132)

The Company:

My client manufactures customer-specific sensor solutions, offering the highest levels of precision, individuality and reliability.


The Role:

  • The likely candidate will be based within a commuting distance of the Office (preferably North)
  • You will be required to manage and develop existing business with a strong focus on growth.
  • The role involves the responsibility for commercial and technical support throughout, which also includes working on new design-ins.
  • Strong project management skills are required to ensure a smooth transition of design in through to order, with the ability to manage both sides of the project between the customer’s requirement and technical support in their Business Units in Germany. This will lead to daily communication with their German engineering colleagues.
  • Making commercial decisions with customers
  • Monitoring customers’ orders and liaising between the correct business unit, handling special requests.
  • Communicating between engineering and customer service.
  • Technical & Commercial support for the region.
  • Visiting customers within the region and representing the company.
  • Pricing discussions with the customers.
  • Attend Sales meetings at their HQ in Germany and other Business Units.
  • Business Development and growth within the region.
  • Running marketing focuses within the Region.
  • Supporting existing business and developing new opportunities.



  • Degree in electronics / electrical engineering (or similar) or an equivalent excellent technical education.
  • History in a technical engineering role would be an advantage
  • 3yrs Minimum sales experience or customer focused position
  • Demonstrate presentational skills / high self-confidence and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on technical matters and a solid commitment to first class customer service and support.
  • Strong ability to plan and priorities work load with a proactive approach
  • Full Driving License
  • Computer literate.
