Respond to sales enquiries from customers, qualifying all enquiries to ensure proposals demonstrate the company’s full product and capabilities portfolio, maximizing all Instrument bookings opportunities
Ensure all proposals/solutions meet the project’s application and operational needs, are technically accurate and commercially verified and offer the best solutions that highlight customer business benefits
Liaise with Project Pursuit, Field Sales and Account Managers to prioritize effort, agree product direction and price strategy to improve customer service consistent with account plans that contribute to their ongoing development
Ensure all relevant details are entered into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool to support work visibility
Respond to customer queries and clarification requests accurately and timely
Work with internal Stakeholders (documentation, commercial, legal) to ensure all proposal details meet the expectation of the customer.
Attend customer meetings or sub-vendor meetings as required; clarify commercial and technical aspects of the enquiry or proposal
Maintain delegations of authority
Support Project Pursuit Team in pre-FEED and FEED activities
Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty through exemplary quality in project execution and enhanced service delivery
Liaise with centralised manufacturing support resources to prepare proposals
Ensure PMO project methodology is applied where necessary to proposals; actively participate in the continuous development and implementation of globally aligned project processes, standards and tools, ensuring local applicability and adoption to improve performance that delivers productivity and speed
Educated to HNC/Degree level in an Engineering discipline or equivalent; or proven experience in similar technical sales role
Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of Pressure, Temperature, Level and Liquid Analytical
LEAN awareness preferable
Excellent communication skills at both a technical and commercial level
Strong interpersonal skills
Competent with Microsoft office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
Proven track record of communicating effectively with customers on both technical and commercial issues
Experience of working within a complex matrix organisation; advantageous
Ability and willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis in order to fulfil the role (full driving license required)
