Project Lead


Up to £40k + bonus


North West

The Role:

  • Lead & coach the project proposal team to deliver a consistently high level of customer service throughout the enquiry, quotation and order entry process, balancing workload as required.
  • Provide technical support to the project administration team to clean customer purchase orders & assist in their entry onto the businesses system in a timely manner.
  • Increase scope & profitability of projects & project schedule control, minimize hidden discounts
  • Support the Project Manager & implementation team in managing all contractual obligations throughout the complete project cycle
  • Interface with all key stakeholders, building business partnerships with personnel in the customer project team
  • Attend customer/plant meetings as & when required
  • Stimulate the factory change order process to ensure maximum project value is realised
  • Ensure project engineering documentation is approved & completed to schedule
  • Lead internal project execution meetings to ensure customer requirements are disseminated & clearly understood by all supporting groups
  • Create opportunity to increase project scope through best practice
  • Ensure relevant project technical knowledge is transferred to all internal partners, locally & globally, to successfully deliver the overall project to the customer
  • Support Business Managers and Project Pursuit teams with their activities as required
  • Maximise opportunities for all other company business units wherever possible
  • Promote the use of company corporate policies within the PMO project environment
  • Participate in recruitment process of direct reports
  • Conduct PEP’s in a timely manner for direct reports
  • Identify, plan and execute actions to meet & exceed agreed KPI’s
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements with regards to Trade Compliance & Ethical Business and follow necessary procedures
  • Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.



  • HNC/Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering to business field
  • Candidates should demonstrate sound customer support and sales skills. Clearly communicate with customers on commercial & technical issues: be self-motivated & adept to leading a team
  • LEAN awareness preferred
  • Product & Business System awareness
  • Min of 3 years relevant work experience in internal sales team
  • Min 1 years leadership experience
  • Demonstrate Think Customer values, delivering first class customer experience & commitment to continually improve internal processes
  • Company Business Academy or graduate preferred English fluency business standard essential
  • Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work & PowerPoint) essential
