Ensure that all internal sales team members carry out their work in an accurate and timely manner
Drive high performance by acting as a day-to-day leader, providing coaching, guidance and mentoring to sales team
Measure, and positively influence, the internal sales Key Performance Indictors as agreed by management
Plan and complete reviews, appraisals, training, development and assist in recruiting staff
Handle complaints and queries from customers and staff and escalate problems to the Senior Management
Promote a friendly, professional and helpful team response in all interactions with their internal and external customers
Continually seek to gain efficiencies in their processes and systems
Complete additional tasks in order to meet departmental, development or change objectives
Proactively look for opportunities to optimise the internal sales operation and its processes with the management team to ensure synergy between departmental objectives and the Partnerships, Manufacturing and Service three pillars strategy
Review sales processes and technical [systems and product] information to help to achieve on all KPI metrics
Oversee, and actively seek to reduce, the levels of customer (NCR’s), credit requests, returns
Seek to anticipate and resolve (before they happen) specific situations where they have the potential to not meet on their obligations or commitments to their customers, whilst educating and reviewing to ensure a ‘right first time’ culture
Ensure the CMS system is updated as required
Aim to meet and exceed good customer service levels whilst working to the Quality Assurance Systems
Knowledge of process instrumentation is an advantage
Knowledge of ERP or MRP software is essential
Experience of managing a pro-active sales team
Experience as a technical sales professional with a proven track record in achieving sales growth
Minimum 2 years’ experience in monitoring staff performance, appraisals, disciplinary action and training
Able to assimilate and apply information quickly and effectively
Able to refine internal sales processes and support their colleagues and customers
Thorough and tenacious in looking for opportunities to continually improve customer satisfaction
