Internal Sales Engineer (JR2832)

Salary:

£25k-£30k

Location:

North West

Location: Manchester

 

The Company: My client are the market Leader in Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature Instrumentation

 

The Role:

  • Handling incoming customer enquiries by telephone, e-mail and fax
  • Handling of customer enquiries received via action reports from external Field Sales Engineers.
  • Prequalification of technical requirements
  • Prequalification of commercial requirements
  • Preparation of quotes
  • Liaise with Product Specialists for non-standard applications
  • Quotation follow-ups
  • Liaise with Field Sales Engineers
  • Own and manage all customer issues
  • Liaise with Named Account/ project engineers to hand over information on large projects
  • Liaise with order entry and logistics team
  • High quality customer liaison during quote phase
  • Learn Product Knowledge via formal training and on the job training
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of commercial awareness
  • Attend training courses and workshops as required
  • Maintain an understanding of the business including specific industry segments

 

Requirements:

  • Ideally educated to Degree level – technical degree or equivalent relevant industry qualification.
  • Must have English Language and Maths GCSE
  • Previous work experience in the process industry or with instrumentation is essential or alternatively commercial sales experience with products such as Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature
  • Up to 12 months on the job training within a regional team
  • Good communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high regard for exceptional customer service
  • Computer literate
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work as a team member and also as an individual
