Field Sales Specialist – Pressure Relief Management (Natural Gas)
In this field-based Sales Specialist role the successful candidate develops and manages relationships within the key Gas Distribution companies throughout the United Kingdom.
To understand market business opportunities and to position Regulator products, solutions and services. The clear leading product offering will be that of Natural Gas Regulators and Gas skid systems, however scope expansion into the broader company offering should be sought with each engagement.
This role will have a clear understanding of the client’s specification and drive this with the Application Engineering team to develop a ‘winning’ solution from both a technical and commercial perspective
Actively engage and build positive relationships with customers that will generate future sales and repeat business
Engage & Develop account plans together with local sales organization and own/develop account plans for competitive displacement and extended business with committed customers
Develop close working relationships with the Sales team to support collaborative Natural Gas strategy throughout the UK Customer base
Provide dedicated focus for the Natural Gas Regulator products through implementation of sales and growth strategies to achieve and exceed bookings and growth targets ensuring consistency with Business Unit strategies
Understand customer and market dynamics and requirements: analyse industry needs and trends, identify application opportunities, build business cases, develop industry segment forecast, etc.
Observe competitive activities in the target segments; feedback competitor information to management to contribute to competitive profiles and strategic planning.
Working closely with the UK PRM BDM to maximize SKID potential for the Natural Gas customer base
Develop business plans to help achieve maximum results and share with PRM Country Management and Business Unit. Deliver the vision
Build effective relations Provide product and application expertise to the sales channel and customers
Improve sales effectiveness through sharing of knowledge & success stories, developing effective sales tools, and enhancing communications across the business
Deliver product and application training to customers (internal and external) when required.
Assessing customer requirements and pain-points and suggesting appropriate solutions
Degree in engineering, business and/or marketing preferred.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; deep understanding of Natural Gas market preferable.
Proven sales record in securing new business / projects wins and providing excellent customer service
Must be able and willing to travel as required both domestically (frequently) and internationally (occasionally)
Technical regulator knowledge would be desired but not a prerequisite
