Develop and Maintain a solid understanding of available market and business opportunities for Flow product range, and other product lines of the company, across all types of customers within the agreed Sales Territory
Utilise territory account management skills to maximize effectiveness and customer facing selling activities
Identify new and actively engage with existing customers within the sales territory by promoting unique product features and deploying best sales practices, accompanied with technical knowledge
Effectively build account relationships to become the trusted advisor within selected accounts and become the go to contact for Measure & Analyse
Lead and support Analytical pursuits within selected OEM accounts
Understand the customer business, drivers and goals
Increase Measure & Analyse market share with targeted competitor displacement across all product ranges and industry sectors
Actively and productively utilize the available sales and support processes, including Solution Selling, Strategic Account Plans, Cluster Plans, PATT, CRM, Sales negotiations and presentations. Practice a ‘Think Customer’ culture in all aspects of the role
Work with Cluster leaders to maximize customer value and share knowledge
Continuously forecast the territory expectations and update the ongoing business planning tools including POR, Quarterly, Mid-Year and Yearly Budget Reviews
Liaise with Internal and external sales teams in product and application knowledge sharing, planning and execution activities to continuously improve the customer service levels
Actively collaborate with Cluster Leads, Project and Account teams to increase the business volumes maximizing the company and Measure& Analyse content
Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to better understand how to position Measure & Analyse product offerings and solutions effectively in the market place
Maintain the required level of personal skills and knowledge required to excel in all aspects
Ensure full compliance with legal and Company requirements with regards to Trade Compliance and Ethical Business following the necessary procedures
Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed
Educated to HNC and/or Degree level in Engineering discipline or equivalent
Experience of operating within the Process Automation Industry advantageous
Background and experience in Sales and Engineering
Proven track record of direct selling in a B2B environment
Proven track record of securing new business via existing customers
Proven track record of establishing long term relationships with external customers
Demonstrate a consultative approach to selling
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with the company portfolio – technical expertise not required but an appreciation and ability to understand product applications is essential
Experience of developing successful cross functional relationships internally, within a matrix organisation advantageous
Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate effective presentation skills
Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible and pragmatic approach
English fluency to business standard essential
Computer literacy essential
Ability to travel in order to fulfil duties of the role essential
