Business Development Manager






  • Promoting the company and developing sales of the full product range to achieve agreed business targets.
  • Build relationships with key contacts and customers, seek opportunities to grow sales of existing and development products in line with business growth strategies.
  • Achieve sales and margin targets in line with agreed timelines.
  • Understand, develop and manage the needs of a growing customer base, make regular visits to these accounts to build, maintain and manage relationships with key contacts at all levels,
  • Gather, analyse, interpret and present market, product, competitor and industry data to enable development of the forward strategy of the business.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports on business development, customer response and activity.
  • Implementation & monitoring of campaigns


The Requirements:

  • A demonstrable experience and thorough knowledge of the UK Food, Beverage, and Nutrition sectors – for both target customer/opportunities and competitors.
  • A proven ability to set ambitious new business sales targets and achieve a high level of success against targets.
  • A sound understanding of the company’s product range and applications.
  • A working knowledge/familiarity of the Nutrition and Health Claims Regulations and Novel Foods Regulations is desirable, but not critical.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • High level of interpersonal skills and a variety of sales, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • The jobholder will be required to visit and represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences, also to attend head office locations as required.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
