External technical sales spending 2-3 days a week visiting customer selling of a wide range of industrial Sensors solutions into a broad variety of OEM market sectors to include Automation, Process/Packaging, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Oil & Gas.
Generate new business opportunities through new and existing customer base.
Expand current customer product portfolio through account management & internal networking.
Use and maintain CRM system to record all sales activities.
Visit customers on daily & weekly basis through self-generated appointments in all areas of the sales territory.
Attend Exhibitions, sales meetings and AOB meetings as required.
Support external enquires when based in the office to include other
colleagues accounts & sales area enquires as necessary.
To meet and exceed not only personal sales target but also the overall sales target through all sales activities.
To assist the customer in the design and development of products to suit their specific application with a technical bias.
To liaise with key suppliers on new projects & products.
To generate new business through new & existing accounts.
To contact dormant accounts and generate new possible leads.
To assist in other areas of the business when deemed necessary.
To be continually proactive in the generation of sales opportunities.
Ensure efficient use of working day with remote access to CRM system for recording their appointment activities.
To ensure that all activities/tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and the Quality / ISO system
Any other relevant and reasonable duties that may be requested and deemed reasonable by management.
Previous sales experience essential.
Technical bias in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Team player but able to work autonomously.
Able to liaise with contacts at all levels.
Previous experience of using of CRM system essential
Computer literate; proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent Verbal and Written Skills
Self-motivated – enthusiasm and drive to succeed.

Ability to work under pressure and meet objectives
Creative – able to think outside the box.
