Position: Project Planning Manager
Location: North West (Cheshire)
Salary: £40,000 or above

The Role:
The Planning Manager will provide planning expertise and resource management to the organisation. The Planning manager is considered the subject matter expert for planning, scheduling and forecasting. Strong data analysis and reporting skills are required to ensure our project managers and management team are given good quality valuable information. This role requires an understanding of the sales and operations planning process and methodology, as the planning manager is responsible for gathering and analysing data and reporting to the management team on a monthly basis. The planning manager has a team of two planners and the group is responsible for the planning and scheduling for multi million pound control system projects for the oil and gas, life science, chemical and power industries. Knowledge and an understanding of scheduling tools and techniques are required. Ideally the candidate would have some knowledge of the Clarity enterprise system.
Manage the planning group to create and maintain project schedules
Gather and present S&OP data to the management team and facilitate monthly meetings
Planning of Integration and FAT shop floor space
Develop the resource utilization model
Act as UKI Clarity champion, organizing training, resolving issues and to be the point of contact in to PMO
To identify opportunities for customer facing discussions to enhance the project reporting process
Requirements:
Proven ability in project planning at management level
Working knowledge of enterprise management and planning software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated and organised
Supervisory experience of a remote team would be beneficial
